This was inspired by the wood carving traditions of the cities of the North East of Brazil. Doctors, lawyers and other professionals commission doors for their office with exotic plants and animals all capturing the luxuriant tropical flora and fauna. I was fascinated by the way the trees are intertwined, bursting with life and almost engulfing the animals and humans.
